Advanced Behavioral Health, Inc. (ABH) has opened a new outpatient office in Hagerstown, marking its first expansion into Washington County. The office, located at 265 Mill Street, Suite 800, began serving patients on September 1, 2026. This move brings ABH's comprehensive mental health services to a new community, aligning with the organization's mission to meet Maryland clients where they are.
The expansion is significant for Washington County residents who previously had limited access to the range of services ABH provides. With this new location, ABH now operates in six counties, offering individual and family therapy, school-based therapy, telehealth counseling, and psychiatric evaluation and medication management. The addition of the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP) is expected once Maryland's PRP moratorium lifts in 2027, further broadening the continuum of care.

The opening addresses a critical need for mental health services in the region. According to the National Institute of Mental Health, nearly one in five U.S. adults live with a mental illness, and access to care remains a challenge, particularly in rural areas.
