Alward Fisher, a Northern Michigan law firm, has announced the addition of Lauren E. Trible-Laucht as a new attorney. Trible-Laucht joins the firm after serving as City Attorney for the City of Traverse City for 15 years, from 2011 to 2026. Her arrival brings a depth of municipal and public-sector legal experience to a firm that serves individuals and businesses across the region.
Trible-Laucht earned her Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Kalamazoo College in 2002. Before attending law school, she studied law, constitutional law, and German at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität in Bonn, Germany, as a Kalamazoo College Fellow. She then earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Wayne State University Law School in 2008 after serving as a judicial intern to U.S. District Judge Gerald E. Rosen in the Eastern District of Michigan. She was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan that same year.
After law school, Trible-Laucht worked as an associate attorney with Jon H. Kingsepp PLLC, where she served as Assistant City Attorney for the City of Clawson. In that role, she represented municipal and private clients in litigation, contract negotiations, and labor matters. Her experience in municipal law continued and expanded during her tenure as Traverse City's in-house general counsel, where she advised municipal departments, City officials, and the City commission on a broad range of operational, governmental, and legal matters. These included property transactions, development agreements, ordinance drafting and enforcement, labor and employment matters, municipal governance, zoning and land use, contracts, and litigation.
The addition of Trible-Laucht matters for Northern Michigan residents and businesses because it strengthens Alward Fisher's ability to handle complex legal issues with an attorney who has spent more than a decade addressing significant community matters. Her background in municipal governance, land use, and labor law complements the firm's existing practice areas, which include banking, business and corporate law, civil litigation, criminal defense, estate planning and probate, family law, and real estate law.
Edward Price, the firm's Managing Partner, said he was honored to have Trible-Laucht join Alward Fisher. "Lauren is an incredible addition to the team," he said. "We admire her sharp legal experience, as well as her devotion to the Traverse City community. At Alward Fisher, our mission is to provide peace of mind to our clients, whether they're struggling with a divorce, a business dispute, financial trouble, estate planning, or criminal law matters. We believe Lauren is the perfect attorney to further that mission."
Trible-Laucht said she is looking forward to joining the firm. "I'm very proud to join Alward Fisher," she said. "I have spent the last 15 years assisting the Traverse City community address some very big issues. I'm looking forward to putting my skills to work for clients in Northern Michigan in a whole new capacity."
The hire also signals the firm's continued investment in experienced legal talent. With 14 attorneys and over 100 years of combined legal experience, Alward Fisher is positioned to serve clients throughout the region.
