Angkor Resources Launches Diamond Drill Program at Andong Bor Copper-Gold Target in Cambodia

Angkor Resources Corp. (TSXV: ANK) has announced the start of a 2,800-meter diamond drilling program at its Andong Bor copper-gold target in Cambodia. The program will focus on the Thmei North target, a one-square-kilometer copper anomaly, with drilling set to begin on June 24, 2026. The company plans to complete an initial 1,200 meters in three holes during the current dry season, with the remaining 1,600 meters scheduled for early 2027 after the harvest season.

The Andong Bor license spans 100.28 square kilometers across Oddar Meanchey and Banteay Meanchey provinces. Drilling results from 2025 indicated that the main structures controlling mineralization are north-northwest striking and steeply west dipping. To better intersect the mineralized beds, the three initial holes will be drilled to the east. According to Dennis Ouellette, VP Exploration, the best copper mineralization occurs within potassic-altered sediments adjacent to feldspar porphyry diorite dikes. Drilling eastward will maximize intersections of these favorable sedimentary rocks as the drill passes through alternating intrusive and sedimentary layers.

The first phase involves three 400-meter holes, with core logging, photographing, and sampling to be conducted on site. Selected intervals will be dispatched for assay as the program progresses. The second phase, comprising the remaining 1,600 meters, will follow in early 2027 once field conditions permit. The company also plans to extend exploration at the Thmei South target through additional auger soil geochemistry to delineate the full extent of the copper anomaly, which will guide subsequent drill programs.

This drilling program represents a significant step in advancing the Andong Bor project, which is part of Angkor's broader exploration portfolio in Cambodia. The company holds two mineral exploration licenses in the country, focusing on copper and gold prospects. In addition to its mineral interests, Angkor's energy subsidiary, EnerCam Resources Co., Ltd., holds an onshore oil and gas license in Block VIII, covering approximately 4,095 km². EnerCam completed 2D seismic surveys in 2025 and has identified multiple drill targets, with plans to drill Cambodia's first privately financed onshore exploratory wells under a Production Sharing Contract.

Dennis Ouellette, B.Sc., P.Geo., a Qualified Person under NI 43-101, has reviewed and approved the technical disclosure in this release. The company cautions that forward-looking statements in this news release involve risks and uncertainties, including those related to drilling results, regulatory approvals, and market conditions.
