The Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) has been added to the Toronto CityPASS program, expanding visitor access to one of Canada’s preeminent cultural institutions. The announcement, made on March 31, 2026, integrates the AGO into a bundled ticketing system that offers significant savings on combined admission to top attractions across 17 major North American cities.
CityPASS, the first bundled attraction ticketing program in North America, provides travelers with a single mobile ticket granting prepaid admission to five of Toronto’s top attractions. The AGO joins a roster that includes the CN Tower and Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada, along with a choice of three additional attractions: the Royal Ontario Museum, City Cruises Toronto, Casa Loma, or the Toronto Zoo.
Founded in 1900, the AGO is one of North America’s largest art museums, with a collection of more than 120,000 works spanning contemporary art, Indigenous and Canadian works, and European masterpieces. Highlights include the world’s largest public collection of Henry Moore sculptures, Peter Paul Rubens’ The Massacre of the Innocents (c. 1610), and Yayoi Kusama’s immersive installation INFINITY MIRRORED ROOM - LET'S SURVIVE FOREVER (2017).
The museum is currently undergoing its seventh expansion, the Dani Reiss Modern and Contemporary Gallery, set to complete in 2027. This expansion will increase exhibition space for the growing modern and contemporary collection.
In addition to its permanent collection, the AGO offers diverse programming, including live performances, talks, and family-oriented activities at the Dr. Mariano Elia Hands-On Centre. The museum is open late every Wednesday and Friday until 9 p.m., and seasonal events such as Family Day and March Break programs combine storytelling, artmaking, and performances.

Toronto CityPASS tickets cost $134.96 CAD for adults and $99.96 CAD for children ages 4-12, excluding tax, and are valid for nine consecutive days. Mobile tickets are available at citypass.com, and ticketholders can use the My CityPASS app to access tickets and view attraction details, special offers, and upgrades. City Pass, Inc. offers a 365-day return policy on non-activated tickets.
