As communities increasingly push back against the construction of large AI datacenters, Auddia Inc. The company’s announcement comes amid recent restrictions in Aurora, Illinois, a halt by Tesla on a major datacenter due to water constraints, and Denmark’s suspension of new projects amid an AI-driven power crisis.
LT350’s patented architecture deploys small, modular AI compute sites in unused airspace above existing parking lots. Each site integrates on-site solar generation, battery storage cartridges, closed-loop liquid cooling with near zero water consumption, and high-efficiency power management software. Unlike hyperscale facilities that require massive grid upgrades, LT350 sites charge batteries during off-peak hours or when excess solar energy enters the grid, then switch to battery power during peak demand, effectively acting as a grid resource. This reduces local grid stress and can generate revenue from utilities for providing grid support services.
The platform directly addresses the primary concerns driving community resistance and moratoriums: no new land use, zero water consumption, minimal noise, no transmission upgrades, and no local grid stress. By placing compute at the circuit level on the grid edge, LT350 avoids the transmission bottlenecks and substation overloads that have stalled hyperscale projects across the country.
