Cassiar Gold Advances Taurus PEA and 10,000m Drill Program, Stonegate Reports

Stonegate Capital Partners has updated its coverage on Cassiar Gold Corp. (TSXV: GLDC), highlighting the company's dual strategy of technical de-risking at its flagship Taurus deposit and district-scale exploration across the broader Cassiar Gold Property. The update comes as Cassiar advances toward its first formal economic evaluation, a key milestone that could provide the first meaningful framework for assessing potential processing methods, mine scale, capital requirements, operating costs, and overall project economics. The PEA, being completed by Ausenco, is expected in the second half of 2026 and will build on the current resource estimate of 410,000 ounces indicated and 1.93 million ounces inferred at Taurus, which remains a near-surface, 2.34-million-ounce resource.

In parallel, Cassiar has launched a fully funded 10,000-meter 2026 drill program. As of September 17, approximately 7,400 meters across 31 holes have been completed at Cassiar North. Notably, the current mineral resource estimate excludes both the 7,308 meters drilled during 2025 and the ongoing 2026 campaign, meaning pending assay results and future resource updates could serve as significant catalysts for the company. The drilling is designed to test extensions of known mineralization and explore new targets, with the potential to expand the resource base and enhance the project's overall scale.

The company's balance sheet and project framework have also strengthened through several recent developments. Warrant exercises and a C$5.53 million financing completed in May have bolstered the treasury, while the extension of the exploration permit through March 2031 provides long-term operational certainty. Additionally, Cassiar entered into an Exploration Agreement with the Dease River First Nation, a move that supports social license and aligns with best practices in Indigenous engagement. These steps collectively support the current exploration and PEA programs, although future development capital requirements remain an important longer-term consideration for the company.

Stonegate's analysis suggests that these developments improve visibility into the path toward project definition while preserving the core investment thesis around Taurus and the broader exploration upside. The strategy balances technical de-risking at Taurus with continued resource growth and higher-grade opportunities across Cassiar South and regional targets. For investors, the upcoming PEA and ongoing drill results represent near-term catalysts that could re-rate the stock.
