Charbone Reaches Major Milestone With Delivery of Its Electrolyzer to the Sorel-Tracy Site

Charbone Corporation (TSXV: CH; OTCQB: CHHYF; FSE: K47), a vertically integrated industrial gases company, announced the delivery of its electrolyzer to its flagship site in Sorel-Tracy, Quebec. This milestone is a significant step in the company's Phase 1B development plan, which aims to increase its clean ultra-high purity (UHP) hydrogen production capacity to meet growing industrial demand.

The electrolyzer, which produces hydrogen through water electrolysis, is the core technological component for the next phase of production at the Sorel-Tracy site. Its arrival enables Charbone's teams, construction contractors, and technical partners to proceed with positioning, installation, and integration into the site's infrastructure. Civil engineering and foundation preparation have been completed, and the company will now focus on component assembly, mechanical and electrical connections, testing, and commissioning.

This delivery is part of Charbone's modular and phased strategy, which allows the company to add production capacity in line with demand while maintaining a disciplined development approach. The company's timeline for a fall launch remains on track.

“It is with immense pride that we announce the arrival of our electrolyzer in Sorel-Tracy today. This is far more than the delivery of a piece of equipment, it represents the achievement of a pivotal step in realizing our vision and one of the most important milestones in the Company's history. The risks associated with delivery are now behind us,” said Dave Gagnon, President and CEO of CHARBONE. “This achievement also reflects the exceptional commitment of our employees, partners, suppliers, and all stakeholders contributing to the development of our flagship site. We are now entering a new phase of execution that will strengthen our ability to serve our key customers and create sustainable value for our shareholders.”

The Sorel-Tracy facility is central to Charbone's strategy to provide UHP hydrogen to sectors such as semiconductors, artificial intelligence and data centers, advanced pharmaceuticals, and aerospace and defense. The company's integrated storage and distribution platform supports scalable growth and operational flexibility, enabling it to serve mid-tier industrial gas customers with reliable supply.

Charbone's development approach is demand-driven and decentralized, allowing it to add production capacity efficiently. The company is committed to supporting the transition to a lower-carbon economy by providing accessible, decentralized clean hydrogen and specialty gases. With this delivery, Charbone moves closer to meeting the growing demand for UHP hydrogen and strengthening its position in the market.
