Charbone Unveils 2026-2030 Strategic Plan to Transform into Integrated Industrial Gas Group

Charbone Corporation (TSXV: CH; OTCQB: CHHYF; FSE: K47), a North American producer and distributor of clean Ultra High Purity (UHP) hydrogen and strategic industrial gases, today announced its comprehensive 2026-2030 strategic plan. The plan marks a pivotal step in the company's evolution towards an integrated, global industrial gas group, building on its foundation in decarbonized UHP hydrogen.

The company aims to expand its positioning to include UHP gases, specialty gases, and, in North America, UHP industrial atmospheric gases to strengthen recurring revenue and operational efficiency. Charbone positions itself as a premium mid-tier player, more agile than major industrial gas companies and more complementary to regional distributors, with differentiation based on quality, metrology, and traceability.

Charbone targets high-growth industries including semiconductors, artificial intelligence and data centers, advanced pharmaceuticals, and aerospace and defense technologies. These markets demand impeccable quality, speed of execution, and security of supply, according to the company.

The strategic plan is built on a two-pillar approach in North America. Pillar A focuses on UHP and specialty gases (high margins), including UHP Hydrogen (HyChem UHP™), Helium, Electronic Gases, and Specialty Gases. Pillar B targets industrial and atmospheric gases (recurring revenue), such as Oxygen, Nitrogen, UHP Argon, CO2, and Industrial Blends, to create a stable revenue base and optimize logistics. The company intends to strengthen its presence in the Northeast and Pacific technology corridor of the United States.

Charbone's operating model includes the continued development and commissioning of phases at its Sorel-Tracy plant in Quebec, which serves as the anchor for North American expansion. The plan also includes deploying 6 to 8 regional hubs in North America and internationally to reduce time-to-market, standardize operations, and optimize logistics costs through a hub-and-spoke model.

International expansion targets Germany as a strategic UHP platform in Europe and Malaysia as an Asian hub for semiconductors and electronics. Expansion will follow an asset-light approach focused on partnerships and structuring contracts.

“At CHARBONE, we are not changing direction, we are expanding it with discipline. We started with one molecule: clean UHP hydrogen. Today, we are building an integrated platform of high-value industrial gases, tailored to the critical needs of the industries of the future,” said Dave B. Gagnon, Charbone’s Chairman and CEO, in the press release.

Charbone is listed on the TSX Venture Exchange (TSXV: CH), the OTC Markets (OTCQB: CHHYF), and the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (FSE: K47). More information is available at www.charbone.com. The original press release can be accessed at www.newmediawire.com.
