CiTech and Babcock Expand Nexus 20 Platform Collaboration to Europe and Southeast Asia

Critical Infrastructure Technologies Ltd. (CSE: CTTT) (FRA: X9V) ("CiTech") announced it has signed an increased scope Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Babcock International Group to co-develop a rapidly deployable platform integrating 5G communications, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), and counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) capabilities. The initial MOU, signed at DSEI in London in September 2025, focused on supplying 50 of CiTech's Nexus 20 platforms for the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence. The expanded MOU now includes all of Europe and Southeast Asia, reflecting significant opportunities for the Nexus 20 across these regions.

CiTech's Nexus 20 is an autonomous, high-capacity mobile communications platform designed for rapid deployment. It supports radio equipment including LTE and other payloads such as surveillance and anti-drone systems. The platform aims to deliver essential services in mining, defence, border security, and emergency services sectors. Patented self-deploying platform technology addresses limitations of current solutions in tower strength and rapid deployment.

"It is fantastic to expand the scope of collaboration with Babcock and to now work together to promote the Nexus 20 into the new regions added," said Brenton Scott, CEO of CiTech. "With our first Nexus 20 due to arrive in the EU in April 2026 for whole of region demonstrations, we are looking forward to 2026 with confidence."

Babcock International Group is a FTSE 100 international defence company operating in the UK, Australasia, Canada, France, and South Africa, with exports to additional markets. The company delivers complex support and product solutions to enhance customers' defence capabilities and critical assets, driven by its purpose to create a safe and secure world, together.

The expanded collaboration comes as defense modernization efforts intensify in Europe and Southeast Asia, with demand for integrated 5G communications and ISR capabilities. The Nexus 20 platform is positioned to meet these needs, offering rapidly deployable infrastructure for military and security applications. The partnership leverages Babcock's global presence and CiTech's technology to address gaps in mobile communications and surveillance.

CiTech, listed on the CSE with operations in Perth, Western Australia, is commercializing its Nexus platform after completing research and development. The company's self-deploying platform is designed to support various technological payloads, including surveillance and anti-drone systems, making it suitable for diverse operational environments. The expanded MOU underscores the strategic importance of the Nexus 20 in enhancing defence capabilities across multiple regions.
