ClimateDoor Acquires Standard Demand Partners, Expanding into the U.S. with End-to-End Capital and Commercialization Services

ClimateDoor, a growth partner for energy, agriculture and critical resource companies, has acquired New York-based capital advisory firm Standard Demand Partners, marking its first acquisition and expansion into the United States. This strategic move consolidates ClimateDoor's transition from a Vancouver commercialization practice into a global firm supporting clients across six continents, with regional teams in Singapore, Europe, Brazil, and Kenya.

The acquisition addresses a fundamental challenge in these sectors: companies often fail not due to technology, but due to commercialization and capital hurdles at different stages. ClimateDoor has focused on early-stage support, embedding within companies to build commercial evidence that makes them fundable, while also raising grants and venture-stage investments. Standard Demand Partners brings expertise in project finance and institutional capital, enabling the combined entity to offer an end-to-end solution from seed stage through project finance.

“A founder who arrives at ClimateDoor at the seed stage can now stay with one partner through a later raise and into project finance, without rebuilding capital relationships at every stage,” said Chad Rickaby, CEO of ClimateDoor. “That continuity is the point. Wherever a company is based, the capital it needs is rarely in the same place, and our job is to close that distance.”

Standard Demand Partners, co-founded by Conor Wilmot and Liam Howe, has supported over 50 companies and maintains relationships with more than 750 institutional investors across project finance and growth equity. The decision to acquire was driven not only by the firm's pipeline but also by its working philosophy. “Conor and Liam built a serious capital practice in a remarkably short time, and they built it the way we would have. Inside the business, doing the commercial work, not sitting above it,” said Nick Findler, Co-founder of ClimateDoor. “Bringing that quality of capital access to our clients around the world was not an opportunity we were going to pass up.”

Wilmot and Howe will join ClimateDoor's partner team, and Standard Demand Partners will retire as a brand, with both firms operating as one company. The combined team will make its first public appearance at New York Climate Week in September, where ClimateDoor will host an evening event for founders and investors.

The merger provides clients with a single partner across the full capital path, eliminating the need to rebuild investor relationships at each growth stage. By combining commercial and capital work under one roof, ClimateDoor builds the exact revenue, offtake, and partnership evidence required for fundability while simultaneously raising capital against those milestones. Clients also gain access to over 750 investor relationships across project finance and growth equity, supporting companies in North America, Europe, Latin America, Africa, and Asia-Pacific.

At close, the combined firm has supported over 150 companies, facilitated more than $600 million in capital across grants, venture, and growth equity, and holds over 750 institutional investor relationships. With offices in Vancouver and New York, and dedicated teams in Singapore, Europe, Brazil, and Kenya, ClimateDoor is positioned to deliver comprehensive growth solutions. The firm also leverages proprietary AI technology to support clients' capital, grants, and sales growth.

This acquisition underscores ClimateDoor's commitment to bridging the gap between commercialization and capital, offering a holistic approach that addresses the full lifecycle of companies in energy, agriculture, and critical resources.
