Comedy Village Times Square Offers Comfortable New Year's Eve Alternative with Comedy Shows

New York City's Comedy Village Times Square is offering a unique way to celebrate New Year's Eve this year, with two comedy shows scheduled on December 31 at 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM. Located at 352 West 44th Street, just a four-minute walk from the heart of Times Square, the venue provides a comfortable alternative to the traditional street-level festivities, which require attendees to stand for hours without access to restrooms, food, or alcohol.

Every New Year's Eve, more than 1 million people gather in Times Square to watch the ball drop, but once inside the viewing zones, they cannot sit, eat, drink alcohol, or use public bathrooms. If they leave their designated area, they are not permitted to return. Comedy Village Times Square aims to alleviate these challenges by offering reserved seating, indoor restrooms, food and drinks, and a warm environment, allowing guests to enjoy a comedy show and then step back into the New Year's energy.

The 8:00 PM show runs from 8:00 to 9:30 PM and is designed for guests who want a full comedy experience before exploring Times Square later in the evening. The 10:00 PM show runs from 10:00 to 11:30 PM and includes a built-in New Year's countdown. The show pauses shortly before midnight so guests can celebrate the moment together indoors. Party favors will be provided, and a complimentary champagne toast will be offered at the close of the 10:00 PM show, just before midnight. After the ball drops, guests are allowed to enter Times Square to enjoy the electric atmosphere.

Each show features top comedic talent from the city, including Dante Nero (seen on NBC's Blacklist and Chappelle Show), Eagle Witt from MTV's Wild 'N Out, and PJ Landers, who has appeared on Netflix. PJ Landers, owner of Comedy Village and a comedian himself, expressed excitement about the event: "We're thrilled to be back for our second New Year's Eve in Times Square, and the excitement is bigger than ever. There's nothing like celebrating the biggest night of the year just a block from the ball drop. We can't wait to welcome guests for a night filled with laughter, community, and everything that makes New York the greatest city in the world."

Landers emphasized the comfort factor: "If you are coming to Times Square, you might as well be comfortable. You can get food, drinks, a great comedy show and clean restrooms. Then step right back into the New Year's atmosphere without giving up your entire night."

Tickets are priced at $50 per person for the 8:00 PM show and $65 per person for the 10:00 PM show. They can be purchased through ComedyVillage.com or by calling (347) 788-1781. Both shows are expected to sell out, so early booking is recommended.
