Consultwebs, a Raleigh-based digital marketing agency serving law firms nationwide, has announced a new health initiative aimed at promoting early breast cancer detection among its workforce. In partnership with longtime client Davis, Saperstein & Salomon, P.C., the company is participating in the #EmployersThinkPink campaign during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. As part of the effort, Consultwebs will offer all U.S.-based employees a $50 stipend and a half day of paid time off if they receive a mammogram in 2026. The move underscores the growing role employers can play in encouraging preventive health screenings.
Breast cancer remains one of the most commonly diagnosed cancers in the United States, affecting both women and men. According to Susan G. Komen, an estimated 321,910 women and 2,670 men in the U.S. will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer in 2026. The American Cancer Society reports that 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetimes. These statistics highlight the critical importance of routine screenings, as early detection significantly improves survival rates. Susan G. Komen also notes that the breast cancer mortality rate among U.S. women decreased by 44 percent from 1989 to 2024, a decline attributed to improvements in treatment and early detection.
Despite the progress, challenges remain. Men can also develop breast cancer and are often diagnosed at a later stage, making awareness and education vital for all populations. By offering tangible incentives, Consultwebs aims to reduce barriers to screening, such as time constraints and out-of-pocket costs. The company's initiative not only supports employee health but also serves as a model for other businesses considering similar benefits.
The partnership with Davis, Saperstein & Salomon adds a personal dimension to the campaign. The law firm created the Think Pink initiative after one of its case managers was diagnosed with breast cancer. Early detection saved her life, prompting the firm to offer time off for mammograms as a company benefit. Consultwebs, which has worked with the firm for years, decided to follow suit. "Our relationship with Davis, Saperstein & Salomon has always been about more than marketing," said Magnus Simonarson, president of Consultwebs. "We learn from each other — not only about how we serve our clients, but also about how we operate our companies and support our teams. Their Think Pink initiative is a great example of how our partnership continues to inspire us in ways that go well beyond the work we do together."
Simonarson also emphasized the company's commitment to employee well-being. "Taking care of our employees means giving them time to take care of themselves," he said. "Our goal with this initiative is to prioritize their breast health and raise awareness about the importance of routine screenings for early detection."
Consultwebs, founded in 1999, specializes in providing SEO for law firms, AI SEO, paid advertising, social media, video marketing, web design, content development, outreach, and other marketing services. The agency's decision to join the Think Pink campaign reflects a broader trend of companies integrating health and wellness into their corporate culture. As breast cancer awareness month draws attention to the disease, initiatives like this one demonstrate how employers can contribute to better health outcomes and potentially save lives.
