Datavault AI and Patriot Strategic Metals Plan $700M Platform for Mineral Asset Tokenization

Datavault AI (NASDAQ: DVLT) has announced a proposed strategic partnership with Patriot Strategic Metals LLC to jointly develop the Strategic Materials Acquisition Platform, an institutional digital infrastructure platform designed to support the financing, tokenization, settlement and lifecycle management of strategic mineral assets. The companies said the platform would combine Patriot Strategic Metals’ strategic metals operations with Datavault AI’s real-world asset tokenization technology, AI-enabled digital infrastructure and blockchain-based settlement capabilities.

The proposed partnership contemplates an initial Phase I platform development program of up to $700 million, subject to financing, definitive agreements, board approvals and regulatory requirements, with approximately $62 million allocated for Datavault AI-related technology integration, licensing and platform development. Datavault AI said the framework is intended to create recurring revenue opportunities through technology licensing, platform services and transaction-based activities, while providing the company with a 25% share of net distributable platform profits unless otherwise agreed for specific transactions or special purpose vehicles.

This move positions Datavault AI at the intersection of strategic mineral supply chains and digital asset infrastructure. As global demand for critical minerals like lithium, rare earths and cobalt intensifies, the ability to tokenize and settle these assets on a blockchain could streamline financing and trading. For Datavault AI, which specializes in AI-driven data experiences and asset monetization in Web 3.0, the partnership extends its technology into the natural resources sector. The company’s platform already serves industries including sports, entertainment, biotech, real estate and energy, and this venture could broaden its footprint into institutional-grade commodity finance.

Patriot Strategic Metals brings operational expertise in strategic metals, a category that includes minerals essential for defense, energy transition and technology manufacturing. The platform aims to create a digital ecosystem where these assets can be financed, tokenized and managed transparently, potentially reducing friction in a market often characterized by opaque supply chains and high barriers to entry for investors.

Datavault AI’s technology suite includes its Information Data Exchange, which enables digital twins and the secure attachment of physical objects to immutable metadata. This capability could be crucial for verifying the provenance and quality of mineral assets on the platform. The company’s Acoustic Sciences division, featuring WiSA, ADIO and Sumerian technologies, focuses on spatial audio, but it is the Data Sciences division that powers the tokenization and AI analytics relevant to this partnership.
