Datavault AI Expands DataMEDS Licensing Agreement Into Commercial Healthcare

Datavault AI (NASDAQ: DVLT) announced on July 30, 2026, that it has expanded its definitive licensing agreement with DataMeds AI Inc. to extend its PharmacyChain blockchain-related technology beyond pharmaceutical distribution into commercial healthcare, healthspan, and wellness applications. The expanded relationship is designed to support patient-controlled health data access, monetization, and real-world asset tokenization across pharmacy, medical, laboratory, and wearable device environments, leveraging a behavioral healthcare patent portfolio focused on medical logistics, IoT population health, and AI-driven remote patient monitoring.

Under the amended agreement, Datavault AI will receive common shares representing approximately 19.9% of DataMEDS’ outstanding common stock upon closing of previously announced related transactions, replacing the preferred shares originally contemplated for tax optimization purposes. The companies said the agreement accelerates deployment of Datavault AI’s technology into the healthcare sector, targeting opportunities within the rapidly expanding global health and wellness market while enabling new patient-controlled data transaction models.

This expansion is significant because it moves Datavault AI’s technology from a narrow pharmaceutical focus into broader healthcare applications, potentially transforming how patients control and monetize their health data. The integration of blockchain and AI technologies could address critical issues around data privacy, interoperability, and patient empowerment. With the global health and wellness market growing rapidly, this move positions Datavault AI to capture a share of the data monetization opportunity in healthcare.

Datavault AI’s platform combines acoustic sciences and data sciences. Its Acoustic Sciences division features WiSA, ADIO, and Sumerian patented technologies for spatial audio. The Data Science division leverages Web 3.0 and high-performance computing for data perception, valuation, and secure monetization. The company’s technology serves industries including sports, entertainment, biotech, education, fintech, real estate, healthcare, and energy. The Information Data Exchange enables Digital Twins and secure attachment of physical objects to immutable metadata.

The amended agreement replaces the preferred shares with common shares, which may offer tax optimization benefits and align incentives between the two companies. By receiving a 19.9% stake, Datavault AI gains significant influence over DataMEDS while potentially sharing in the upside of the expanded healthcare focus.
