The International Conference and Exhibition Desalination Latin America, now in its eighth edition, will take place on June 17-18, 2026, in Santiago, Chile. Organized by Vostock Capital, the event has become a hub for strategy development, investment attraction, and partnership growth in the desalination industry across Latin America. Over the years, it has gathered experts, delivered major projects, and established a platform for meaningful dialogue.
This year's conference will confront tomorrow's desalination challenges and unveil projects driving sustainable transformation. Keynote regular participants include major water utilities such as Aguas de Antofagasta, Econssa, Esval, Cramsa, Trends S.A., Desala, and Aguas Pacífico, as well as mining giants like Codelco, Anglo American, Antofagasta Minerals, Southern Perú Copper Corporation, and Teck Resources. Governmental bodies, including the Ministry of Mining and the General Directorate of Water (MOP) from Chile, and financial institutions such as CAF – Development Bank of Latin America, BID Invest, and ProInversión Perú will also be represented.
The event is expected to attract over 300 delegates from the desalination industry, including C-level executives and directors of leading desalination utilities, international financial institutions, government officials, regulators, and public-private partnership units. Investment projects to be highlighted include desalination for mining expansion programs in Chile, the Northern Chile Water Supply Corridor integrating multi-user desalination pipelines, Peru Coastal Desalination PPPs in Lima, Ilo, and southern industrial clusters, Chile's renewable-powered desalination projects such as solar- and wind-integrated SWRO plants, and regional brine valorization and circular economy initiatives focusing on lithium and salt recovery. Upcoming 2026–2027 bidding rounds in Chile and Peru for new PPPs and multi-client desalination hubs will also be discussed.
As part of the 2026 desalination agenda, two exclusive technical site visits will be held in Spain. The first visit is to the AcuaMed Desalination Plant in Murcia on May 13–14, and the second to the ATL Desalination Plant in Llobregat on September 22–23. These visits offer professionals first-hand insight into operating facilities and cutting-edge processes.
