On Tuesday, August 4, 2026, the Drug-Free World Mobile Exhibit served as a centerpiece of Pasadena's 30th Annual National Night Out at Jefferson Park. The event, hosted by the Pasadena Police Department with support from the Fire Department and community partners, brought together residents and first responders in a celebration of community partnerships.
Visitors to the exhibit explored high-impact audio and visual displays and received free Truth About Drugs educational booklets covering substances like alcohol, marijuana, prescription drugs, and synthetics. Youth and community members took the "Drug-Free Pledge" to remain drug-free and set a positive example for others.
The free event featured games, giveaways, resource booths, fire engines open for exploration, and opportunities to meet helicopter pilots and first responders. The mounted officers who rode through on horseback drew excitement from children and adults alike.
"National Night Out celebrates the partnerships that keep Pasadena safe," said Police Chief Gene Harris. The event highlighted the importance of community engagement in fostering safety and well-being.
The Drug-Free World Mobile Exhibit is part of the Foundation for a Drug-Free World's ongoing efforts to educate the public about the dangers of drug abuse. The foundation is a nonprofit international drug education program sponsored by the Church of Scientology and Scientologists in support of the humanitarian goal of creating a drug-free, crime-free world where human rights are a reality, as envisioned by Scientology Founder L. Ron Hubbard.
