Energy Fuels Reports Strong Q2 Results, Advances Rare Earth Strategy

Energy Fuels Inc. (NYSE American: UUUU) (TSX: EFR) reported its second-quarter 2026 results, revealing continued uranium production growth and major strides in establishing an integrated rare earth platform. The company also announced planned acquisitions of VAC and Australian Strategic Materials, began construction of a commercial-scale heavy rare earth processing plant at its White Mesa Mill in Utah, and continued advancing the Donald Project joint venture in Australia.

Financially, Energy Fuels reported revenue of $25.1 million for the quarter. The net loss of $33.4 million was largely attributed to acquisition-related costs and growth investments. The company ended the quarter with nearly $1 billion in working capital, providing a strong foundation for its expansion plans.

Operationally, Energy Fuels mined 315,000 pounds of contained uranium oxide and produced 865,000 pounds of finished uranium oxide during the quarter. This performance allowed the company to reach its full-year production guidance in the first half of 2026 while maintaining weighted average production costs of approximately $23 per pound at its Pinyon Plain operation. Management reaffirmed 2026 uranium production guidance, underscoring confidence in continued output.

The company’s expanding mine-to-magnet strategy is designed to supply critical materials across the entire supply chain, including mining, rare earth processing, metallization, alloy production, and permanent magnets. These materials are essential for industries such as automotive, robotics, data centers, and defense. Energy Fuels aims to become a leading U.S. supplier of these critical inputs, reducing reliance on foreign sources.

The company’s focus on rare earths is particularly timely given the growing demand for permanent magnets used in electric vehicles, wind turbines, and other advanced technologies. By investing in domestic processing capabilities, Energy Fuels is positioning itself to capitalize on this trend.

Energy Fuels' strategic acquisitions and joint ventures are key components of its growth strategy. The planned acquisitions of VAC and Australian Strategic Materials will expand its capabilities and access to resources. The Donald Project in Australia, a joint venture with Astron Limited, is another step toward securing a diverse supply chain.

The construction of the heavy rare earth processing plant at White Mesa Mill is a significant milestone. This facility will enable Energy Fuels to process heavy rare earth elements, which are critical for high-performance magnets used in various high-tech applications.

The company's strong financial position, with nearly $1 billion in working capital, ensures it can fund these ambitious projects. Management remains optimistic about the future, citing the growing demand for critical materials and the company's strategic positioning.

Energy Fuels is a leading U.S. critical materials company specializing in uranium, rare earth elements, heavy mineral sands, vanadium, and the development of medical isotopes. With several uranium projects in the western United States, it has been the top U.S. producer of natural uranium concentrate, supplying nuclear utilities. The company owns the only fully licensed conventional uranium mill operating in the U.S. – the White Mesa Mill in Utah – where it also produces REE products and evaluates medical isotope recovery for emerging cancer therapies. Additionally, Energy Fuels is developing three heavy mineral sands/rare earths projects: the Vara Mada Project in Madagascar, Bahia Project in Brazil, and Donald Project in Australia (through a joint venture with Astron Limited). Based in Lakewood, Colorado, its shares trade on the NYSE American (“UUUU”) and TSX (“EFR”).
