Exit Planning Institute Southeast Michigan Chapter Hosts 4th Annual Business Owner Forum

The Exit Planning Institute® (EPI) Southeast Michigan Chapter will host its 4th annual Southeast Michigan Business Owner Forum on November 5 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Orchard Lake Country Club, located at 5000 W Shore Dr., West Bloomfield, MI 48324. The half-day event is designed specifically for business owners, focusing on how to grow a stronger, more valuable, and more transferable business.

The forum will feature panels with business owners, TED Talk-inspired sessions, and a fireside chat with an owner who recently exited their business. Attendees will hear firsthand from peers and industry experts about the challenges other owners have faced and the innovative solutions they found. This peer-to-peer learning format is intended to give business owners practical insights they can apply to their own companies.

Exit planning professionals, including financial advisors, business consultants, and others, will also have the opportunity to network with fellow advisors and entrepreneurs on topics related to exit planning. The event serves as a bridge between owners considering their future transitions and the advisors who specialize in guiding them through the process.

The forum matters because it addresses a critical gap in business ownership: many owners are so focused on day-to-day operations that they neglect the long-term planning needed to maximize enterprise value and ensure a successful transition. By bringing together owners who have navigated exits and professionals trained in exit planning, the event offers a rare chance to learn from real experiences rather than abstract theory. The involvement of EPI, whose Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA®) credential program is the most widely endorsed professional exit planning program in the world, lends credibility and expertise to the discussions.

For business owners in Southeast Michigan, the forum provides actionable strategies to build transferable value, whether they plan to sell in the near term or years down the road. For advisors, it offers a venue to connect with potential clients and stay current on the challenges owners face. The event also strengthens the regional business community by fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing among entrepreneurs and their trusted advisors.

Those interested in learning more about EPI Southeast Michigan and the Business Owner Forum can visit the EPI site for additional details. The forum is scheduled to take place on November 5, with registration and attendance details available through the chapter.
