The Mommy Archives is organizing a Family Dance Party on Sunday, November 8, from 3–6 PM at Moxy Williamsburg, aiming to bring together over 200 NYC parents and children for an afternoon of music, dancing, and family-friendly activities. Net proceeds from the event will benefit Single Moms of Brooklyn, while family brand Nuna will donate $5,000 worth of products to Room to Grow. The event underscores The Mommy Archives' mission of fostering community among NYC parents while supporting organizations that serve families across the city.
Single Moms of Brooklyn is a local initiative that empowers single mothers through emotional support, community, and resources. Room to Grow is a nonprofit that assists families experiencing poverty during the critical first three years of a child's life. Both organizations hold personal significance for Jules Ferdowsi, founder of The Mommy Archives, who is a solo parent and a member of Single Moms of Brooklyn. "I wanted this event to be more than just a fun afternoon for families," Ferdowsi said. "Community is at the heart of everything we do at The Mommy Archives, and I know firsthand how important it is for parents to have a community they can turn to. It was important to me that bringing families together could also directly support other parents and children."
The event's impact extends beyond ticket sales through a partnership with Nuna, which will donate $5,000 in products to Room to Grow. Moxy Williamsburg is serving as the venue partner, hosting the event at its Bar Bedford Garden. Attendees can enjoy a DJ, photo booth, face painting, crafts, glitter tattoos, games, and other activities designed to create a joyful gathering that translates into tangible support for families in need.
