Gerresheimer Appoints Klaus Rohrig to Supervisory Board Amid Shareholder Structure Shift

Gerresheimer AG announced a change in its Supervisory Board with the appointment of Klaus Rohrig, co-founder and Co-Chief Investment Officer of the Active Ownership Group, effective immediately until the next Annual General Meeting in June 2026. He succeeds Dr. Dorothea Wenzel, who stepped down to align the board's composition with the company's evolved shareholder structure. Rohrig will also take over Wenzel's duties on the Audit Committee.

Dr. Axel Herberg, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, expressed gratitude for Wenzel's contributions. "We sincerely thank Dr. Dorothea Wenzel for her dedicated work on the Supervisory Board and the Audit Committee. With her expertise and experience, she has made a significant contribution to the fulfillment of the committee’s duties," he said.

Rohrig will stand for election at the Annual General Meeting on June 3, 2026, where a total of four shareholder representatives will be up for election on Gerresheimer's co-determined Supervisory Board. The appointment reflects the company's adaptive governance in response to shifting ownership dynamics, ensuring that the board remains representative of current shareholders.

Gerresheimer, a leading systems and solutions provider for the pharma, biotech, and cosmetic industries, operates over 40 production sites in 16 countries. The company generated revenues of approximately EUR 2.4 billion in 2024 and employs around 13,600 people. Its products include drug containment solutions, drug delivery systems, and digital health tools. More information about the company is available at www.gerresheimer.com.

This board change underscores the importance of aligning corporate governance with shareholder interests, particularly as Gerresheimer continues to innovate in healthcare solutions. The appointment of an active ownership representative may signal a focus on operational efficiency and value creation.
