Golden Cariboo Completes Hixon Camp Purchase to Enable Year-Round Exploration at Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine

Golden Cariboo Resources Ltd. has completed the purchase of a 5.36-acre freehold property in Hixon, British Columbia, for $300,000 CAD, the company announced. The acquisition, first disclosed in its May 19, 2026 news release, comprises two adjacent lots on Highway 97 and will serve as a camp to support year-round exploration and development at the company’s Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine property, located about 4 kilometers northeast of Hixon.

The camp is a key investment in operational readiness and long-term capacity, enabling Golden Cariboo to operate 12 months a year—a distinction that President and CEO J. Frank Callaghan said sets the company apart from many peers. “Being able to work 12 months a year sets Golden Cariboo apart from many peer group companies,” Callaghan stated. “This acquisition will support those efforts and the Company’s focus on building upon and expanding its inaugural NI 43-101 Mineral Resource Estimate announced on September 30, 2026.”

The company has already mobilized its Atco 5 unit skid-mounted trailers to the site to provide near-term accommodation and operational support infrastructure for field personnel and contractors. Water studies, permitting, and engineered plans are underway to assist with camp infrastructure installation. Aqua Tech Ltd from Kelowna and Western Water Associates Ltd out of Prince George have been onsite to complete water testing and water quality analysis, including review by Northern Health; results are pending. Either the existing water licence at the camp will be transferred to the Company or a new licence may need to be applied for.

Additionally, Golden Cariboo has engaged Prince George-based L&M Engineering Ltd. to complete engineering plans and permitting for either an upgraded or new septic system to support the camp. This work ensures the site will be fully functional and compliant with applicable regulations.

The Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine property is bordered by Osisko Gold Group Inc. and is partly intertwined with them at the north end of the Cariboo Gold Project, located along a favourable corridor adjacent to the Spanish and Eureka thrust faults over a 96,183 hectare area. The property includes the Quesnelle Quartz gold-silver deposit, discovered in 1865 and developed over a footprint of about 150m x 150m at the Main zone straddling Hixon Creek. The company notes strong geological similarities between its property and the Spanish Mountain gold deposit, situated 120 km southeast along the same trend.

For investors, the camp acquisition is a tangible step toward reducing seasonal downtime and supporting a sustained exploration program as Golden Cariboo looks to expand its inaugural mineral resource estimate. The company’s shares trade on the CSE under the symbol GCC. Further details are available at www.goldencariboo.com, and the original release can be viewed at www.newmediawire.com.
