Grafton Resources Initiates Heliborne Geophysical Survey at Alicahue Gold-Copper Project in Chile

Grafton Resources Inc. (CSE: GFT; OTCQB: GFTFF; FSE: K8L0) announced that Expert Geophysics Surveys Inc. has started a planned 80 line-kilometre mobile magnetotelluric ("MobileMT") heliborne survey at the Alicahue Gold-Copper Project in Valparaiso, Chile. The survey, expected to be completed within one day, covers the entire property and interpreted results are anticipated in March 2026.

MobileMT is a leading geophysical technology that helps identify subsurface geologic structures, alteration halos, and contrasting lithologies. Complementary VLF-EM data, providing near-surface electromagnetic information, should yield increased resolution of shallow features. Combining these methods aims to identify deep-seated faults, lithological contacts, and structures controlling mineral systems from surface to depths of approximately 1 km to 2 km, depending on local geology conductivity.

Campbell Smyth, Chairman of the Company, stated: "We expect the MobileMT data will provide a three-dimensional image of the Alicahue Project area. We hope the survey will assist us in tracing the outline of a possible porphyry centre in the southeast concession and help vector towards the origin of the IOCG vein systems and possible feeder zones to gold and copper vein mineralization mapped in the area. MobileMT is known for identifying areas of electrically conductive sulphides potentially linked to mineralized porphyry intrusive centres, and resistive bodies representative of intrusions."

The Alicahue Project is located in a mineral-rich region of Chile, and this survey represents a significant step in understanding its geological potential. The technology employed is designed to detect deep-seated mineral systems that may be associated with porphyry copper-gold deposits and iron oxide copper-gold (IOCG) style mineralization. By integrating MobileMT with VLF-EM data, Grafton expects to enhance the resolution of both shallow and deep structures, potentially reducing exploration risk and focusing future drilling efforts.

Grafton Resources is a Canadian exploration company listed on the Canadian Securities Exchange, focused on the discovery and development of mineral assets in the Americas. The Company is committed to responsible exploration, strong community partnerships, and generating shareholder value through disciplined project advancement.
