Gunnar's owner, Kristi Gacke, a Denver resident, introduced him to Hike Doggie. In the review, Gunnar recounts being picked up in one of Hike Doggie's climate-controlled "Big Blue Busses" and transported to the Rockies. He notes he was so excited that he was "already gone emotionally" shortly after leaving home. The review details his discoveries: 17 sticks, 43 different smells, and numerous squirrels. Upon returning, Gunnar writes that he "collapsed face-first on the floor, slept for six hours, barked once in his sleep, dreamed about chasing a squirrel, and woke up with a leaf still stuck to his butt."
