Central to the system is a unique integrated friction layer that accommodates more aggressive brake pad compounds and extends disc life. According to Rick Hinz, owner of Hinz Motorsport, the goal was to solve a real problem in the market while raising the standard of performance. The system provides improved cold bite, a higher friction coefficient, an easier bed-in process, expanded pad compatibility, increased durability, low dust and noise, and weight savings.
Hinz Carbon is produced using a slower, precision-controlled manufacturing process that minimizes impurities and promotes more uniform silicon infiltration, resulting in a higher-grade silicon carbide structure. This approach contributes to greater consistency, strength, and reliability under demanding conditions. The system has completed extensive third-party testing through PFC, an independent brake manufacturer, with after-market and OEM-level evaluations confirming its performance and durability.
Built for performance street, track, and race applications, the system is compatible with high-end platforms including Porsche, Ferrari, McLaren, Audi, Lamborghini, BMW, and other performance-focused vehicles. The Hinz Motorsport Carbon Ceramic Brake Systems are now available for order.
