The system combines advanced materials, controlled manufacturing processes, and design improvements to deliver strong performance while offering long-term value.
Central to the system is a unique integrated friction layer that accommodates more aggressive brake pad compounds and extends disc life. According to Rick Hinz, owner of Hinz Motorsport, the goal was to solve a real problem in the market while raising the standard of performance. The system provides improved cold bite, a higher friction coefficient, an easier bed-in process, expanded pad compatibility, increased durability, low dust and noise, and weight savings.
Hinz Carbon is produced using a slower, precision-controlled manufacturing process that minimizes impurities and promotes more uniform silicon infiltration, resulting in a higher-grade silicon carbide structure. This approach contributes to greater consistency, strength, and reliability under demanding conditions. The system has completed extensive third-party testing through PFC, an independent brake manufacturer, with after-market and OEM-level evaluations confirming its performance and durability.
Built for performance street, track, and race applications, the system is compatible with high-end platforms including Porsche, Ferrari, McLaren, Audi, Lamborghini, BMW, and other performance-focused vehicles. It suits enthusiasts looking to preserve factory carbon ceramic setups for resale, manage brake dust and noise, or run a single pad configuration across both street and track use.
The Hinz Motorsport Carbon Ceramic Brake Systems are now available for order. While some kits remain in production, orders can be placed immediately, with lead times of approximately 14 weeks for non-stock configurations.
