Huawei Pledges to Drive Europe's Twin Transition with AI and Green Tech

At the 11th Huawei Connect Europe in Florence, Huawei reaffirmed its commitment to Europe's digital and green transitions, emphasizing collaboration with customers and partners. The event, held under the theme "Advancing Intelligent & Green Europe," drew thousands of attendees, including industry leaders and technology experts, and featured remarks from Italian Minister of Enterprises and Made in Italy Adolfo Urso, Tuscany Region President Eugenio Giani, and Florence Mayor Sara Funaro.

David Wang, Deputy Chairman of the Board and Rotating Chairman at Huawei, highlighted the company's role in Europe's transformation. "As Europe's digital and green transitions continue to progress, Huawei is working with over 5,000 partners to solve real customer challenges through technological innovation," Wang said. "The intelligent world is coming, faster than ever, and industries across Europe are preparing for a major leap in productivity, powered by AI and other advanced technologies. Huawei has been and will remain in Europe, for Europe."

Leo Chen, Huawei's Senior Vice President and President of Enterprise Sales, outlined the company's regional strategy, stating, "Huawei is in Europe, for Europe. We dive into local customer needs and turn technology into action to drive Europe's twin green and digital transition." Chen explained that Huawei focuses on developing innovative products tailored to local industry scenarios and empowering local partners to better serve European customers.

To support this, Huawei launched the SCALE framework for Europe, which stands for Scenario-based Solutions, Co-Innovation, Aligned Marketing, Local Service, Consistent Quality, and Efficient Collaboration. This framework aims to help partners innovate around customer needs, integrate Huawei solutions more easily, and improve service capabilities. The initiative builds on Huawei's existing "Huawei + Partners" collaboration system.

The event also featured insights from industry leaders such as Pierre Francois Rudant of Auchan Retail, Federico Ascoli of Also, Sergio Grassi of Zeliatech and Esprinet Group Italy, and Marcel Poser of Screening Eagle Technologies. Their participation underscored the collaborative effort needed to drive Europe's intelligent industry practices.

Huawei's commitment matters because it signals a long-term investment in Europe's technological sovereignty and sustainability goals. By fostering local partnerships and providing advanced AI and digital solutions, Huawei aims to accelerate the region's productivity leap and support the European Green Deal. The SCALE framework could enable European businesses to innovate faster and compete globally, while ensuring that the transition is inclusive and sustainable.
