hyperCORE International, a strategic scaling platform that helps clinical research sites and organizations grow through partnership, announced the election of its new officers. Jeffrey Smyth will serve as President, Seneca Harrison as Vice President, and Claxton Copeland as Secretary, while Dustin Owen continues as Treasurer. The appointments signal a renewed commitment to serving two distinct audiences through one platform: site networks seeking growth without losing independence, and contract research organizations (CROs) needing streamlined access to high-performing research sites.
For clinical research site networks, hyperCORE provides the relationships and resources to accelerate growth while preserving independence. Through shared expertise, business development, operational collaboration, and strategic partnerships, partner sites can expand their reach, strengthen sponsor and CRO relationships, and build sustainable organizations. The current class of partner site networks includes Empathx Clinical Research, FOMAT Medical Research, Optimal Research Sites, QCR Network, and TrueBlue Clinical Research. Alumni include Lynd Clinical (formerly ARC), Avacare (formerly Benchmark Clinical Research), Flourish Research (formerly CSP & CTT), Centricity Research (formerly IACT Health, LMC Manna, Aventiv, and Lucas Research), and, most recently, Alcanza Clinical Research.
For CROs, hyperCORE offers a single point of contact that streamlines site access. With one trusted relationship, CROs gain rapid feasibility with 48 to 72 hour turnaround, broader geographic reach across the United States, and expanded patient access. The network brings together more than 50 sites, 120+ principal investigators, and experience across more than 25 therapeutic areas and multiple trial phases, with access to more than 3.4 million patients. This scale and reach are critical as CROs face increasing pressure to enroll trials quickly and efficiently.
Newly elected President Jeffrey Smyth expressed gratitude for the confidence of his fellow partners. "The camaraderie across our network is what makes this group special, and it positions us well for continued growth," Smyth said. "I step into this role with excitement as we scale our collective impact for CROs and patients." Nicholas Focil, former President, emphasized the importance of strong leadership to the mission. "At hyperCORE, our purpose is simple. We help our partners scale," Focil said. "That means giving exceptional site networks the support to grow on their own terms, and giving CROs one trusted connection to the sites and patients their studies need."
The leadership transition comes at a pivotal time for the clinical research industry, where site networks and CROs must navigate complex trial landscapes and growing patient access demands. hyperCORE's model addresses these challenges by combining the agility of independent site networks with the centralized coordination that CROs require. The new officers bring complementary expertise and strategic leadership to guide hyperCORE's continued evolution, strengthen its partnerships, and support sustainable growth across the organization. As the platform expands, it aims to deepen its impact on clinical research by enabling sites to thrive independently while providing CROs with reliable, rapid access to a diverse patient population.
