ICONSIAM, the global landmark on the Chao Phraya River, concluded Pride Month 2026 with a historic celebration that captured worldwide attention and reinforced Thailand's position as a leading Pride-friendly destination. On June 30, 2026, ICONSIAM presented Thailand's first-ever Rainbow Drone and Fireworks Show, illuminating Bangkok's riverfront and showcasing the nation's commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion.
The event, titled "Journey of Pride Spectrum," featured a five-minute aerial display combining rainbow-themed drones and fireworks against the backdrop of Bangkok's iconic riverfront. Images and videos were rapidly shared across social media, generating significant online engagement and highlighting Bangkok's growing reputation as a welcoming destination for LGBTQIA+ communities.
The celebration also served as a demonstration of Thailand's readiness to host World Pride 2030. Throughout June, under the "UNITY OF PRIDE: DIVERSE SERIES, ONE COMMUNITY" campaign, ICONSIAM offered immersive experiences including the Pride Rainbow Waterfall on the 6th floor, Asia's longest rainbow-themed dancing fountain show, and the ICONIC Rainbow Lighting installation created with LightSource. The month-long program included the A FAIR x UNITY OF PRIDE shopping festival, Pride & Greet fan experiences with artists from DOMUNDI, and the art exhibition "Colors of Pride: Unity in Diversity" by Queer Art Thailand.
ICONSIAM believes diversity strengthens communities and inspires creativity. The overwhelming response to the event reflects the growing importance of inclusive spaces. As a global experiential destination, ICONSIAM remains committed to championing diversity and creating extraordinary experiences. Through collaborations with public and private partners, ICONSIAM continues to support initiatives that strengthen Thailand's global profile and reinforce Bangkok's position as an inclusive destination, contributing to the vision of hosting World Pride 2030.
