Kaufman & Company Expands BridgeStar.ai Into a Full Partner Portal, Adding Eight New Engagement Tracks and a Suite of Client Tools

Kaufman & Company, a private investment and holding firm spanning real estate development, private credit, venture, and structured finance, has announced a major expansion of its partner portal, BridgeStar.ai. The portal, previously focused on closing and funding for borrowers, now serves as the single point of engagement for every type of partner across the firm’s family of ten operating companies.

The expanded portal organizes partners into eight distinct tracks, each tailored to the specific needs of that relationship. These tracks include Borrowers & Closing Clients, Advisory Clients, Contractors & Trade Partners, Land Owners & Brokers, Employers & Institutions, Municipalities & Community Partners, Residents, and Startup Founders & Portfolio Companies. Each track routes users to a workspace with relevant documents and tools, ensuring that every engagement is handled efficiently.

New client-facing features have been added to enhance the user experience. These include a Deal Timeline for tracking milestones, a Track Record page showcasing past deals and references, Draw Requests for submitting and tracking draws, a BridgeStar Score providing a live status snapshot, and a Parties & Contacts directory. Additionally, clients can now redact sensitive information before uploading documents, receive SMS notifications for sign-in codes and funding alerts, access a Help Desk with FAQ and ticketing, and use Jeeves, an AI concierge, for answers about deals and documents.

The portal also introduces self-serve account creation, notarization scheduling including virtual notary sessions, and resident tools for rent payment recording and lease renewals. On the administrative side, the Admin Panel now includes an Overview, Deals, Access Requests, Messages, Track Record management, a site-wide Activity Log, and a Security panel. New administrative functions include Client Funds Status, Pending Access Requests, a Send a Message tool, and a comprehensive Activity Log. Internal accounts now require MFA, and recent security activities are logged with email alerts for sensitive actions.

This expansion reflects Kaufman & Company's commitment to leveraging technology to streamline operations across its diverse portfolio, which includes real estate development, private credit, venture, and structured finance. With over $2 billion in property investments and more than 10,000 housing units financed or developed, the firm is positioning BridgeStar as a central hub for all partner interactions.
