KeyCrew Media Partners with Safety Pickets Founder to Spotlight Worksite Safety Ahead of US Expansion

As Safety Pickets prepares to enter the U.S. market, its founder, Anthony Burr, is partnering with KeyCrew Media to amplify the story behind the patented safety solution and the broader shift toward preventative worksite safety culture. The collaboration aims to provide expert insights into construction and civil site hazard prevention, with a focus on reusable safety equipment innovation.

Burr, who founded Safety Pickets after witnessing the failure of plastic caps on construction sites, developed a reusable steel cap that eliminates the impalement and trip hazards posed by exposed star pickets. The product has since gained traction, earning a patent in Australia, New Zealand, Europe, and the U.S., and is now distributed nationally through Bunnings, Australia’s largest hardware retailer. It has also been nominated for Australia’s Work Safe Safety Solution of the Year, and its adoption has expanded beyond construction into civil, agricultural, and municipal applications.

Steve Marcinuk, Co-Founder and CEO of KeyCrew, highlighted the appeal of Burr’s story: “Anthony’s story is the kind of founder-led, product-proven narrative we love to tell – a simple jobsite frustration turned into a patented fix that’s already stocked in every Bunnings in Australia. As Safety Pickets looks for the right US distribution partner, we’re glad to help make sure the story behind the product is easy to find.”

The partnership will involve co-producing thought leadership and market insights on topics such as reusable safety equipment, the transition from reactive to preventative safety culture, and the challenges of scaling a patented product. KeyCrew’s editorial team will conduct live interviews and turn those conversations into original reporting, which will be published across KeyCrew’s portfolio of publications and distributed through its network of syndication partners, portals, and AI platforms.

Burr emphasized the importance of the partnership: “Since that first prototype, we’ve had one goal – solving a hazard that’s hiding in plain sight on almost every jobsite. Partnering with KeyCrew gives us a way to tell that story to the people we most want to reach as we look for the right partners to bring Safety Pickets to the US.”

The initial articles will delve into Burr’s founder journey, the case for reusable safety equipment over disposable plastic caps, and the broader shift in safety culture. Future coverage will explore the Bunnings distribution story, adoption across civil, agricultural, and municipal markets, and Safety Pickets’ search for a U.S. distribution partner.

KeyCrew Media, an expert-first media company, conducts hundreds of live interviews monthly and reaches over 40,000 professionals and investors. The company syndicates content to more than 300 publications, platforms, and AI engines, ensuring broad visibility for the insights shared through this partnership.

The collaboration underscores the growing importance of preventative safety measures in the construction and civil industries, as well as the potential for innovative, reusable solutions to reduce workplace hazards. With the U.S. market entry on the horizon, the partnership aims to position Safety Pickets as a leader in worksite safety innovation.
