Knight Stalker Records, the flagship music division of REACH FOR THE TOP MEDIA GROUP, has announced several developments that underscore the expanding reach of the Mainstream-Independent Movement across Ohio and beyond. The label welcomed two new artists to its roster, spotlighted an underground band, and confirmed early booking efforts for a major 2027 tour.
The additions of Zilkwulf of Cleveland, Ohio, and Chris Stark bring new talent and independent artistry into the Knight Stalker family. According to the label, their dedication and vision align with the movement's mission to support artists who refuse to be defined by industry limitations. These signings reflect a broader strategy of building a community that prioritizes authenticity and collaboration over trend-chasing.
In a further demonstration of its commitment to Ohio's independent music scene, Knight Stalker Records spotlighted Black Sasquatch, a band from South-Eastern Ohio. Formed in 2018 when longtime friends Bub Hiestand, Ted Wilson, and Patrick Pryor reunited after a 15-year break, the group turned an abandoned trailer into a DIY studio. Their debut EP, The Triangle, launched INC Records and established their raw, self-built identity. Through the pandemic, they continued performing across Ohio and released the ambitious Believe EP in 2022. In 2023, guitarist Theodore Charles Hall joined and helped shape the award-winning, Doom-flavored Sighting EP, released in 2025. The lineup solidified with second guitarist Greg "Gregzilla" Combs in 2026, followed by the high-energy full-length Live '25. Black Sasquatch delivers a unique blend of rock, punk, and metal they call "Squatch-Rock" — a sound rooted in grit, loyalty, and Ohio's independent spirit. Looking ahead, Knight Stalker Records has officially begun booking efforts for the upcoming Culture Shock (US) 2027 Tour. Additional announcements and tour dates will be released as plans move forward. The tour represents a significant opportunity for independent artists to reach wider audiences and further the movement's goals of creating opportunities and building lasting partnerships.
The label's mission remains unchanged: "This isn't an industry to us. It's a movement. Industries chase trends. Movements create change. We're here to do the latter, and we're not going anywhere." This philosophy, combined with the label's expanding roster and tour plans, positions Knight Stalker Records as a growing force in the independent music landscape. By connecting artists with resources, exposure, and a community built on authenticity and long-term growth, the organization continues to advance its belief that success should be accessible to those willing to pursue it.
