LaFleur Minerals Advances Toward Gold Production With Refurbished Mill and Trafigura Agreement

LaFleur Minerals Inc. (CSE: LFLR) (OTCQB: LFLRF) is strategically advancing toward the restart of its wholly owned and refurbished Beacon Gold Mill, located in the prolific Abitibi Gold Belt in eastern Canada. The company expects to resume operations during the next few months, initially processing existing stockpiles left by a previous operator. This quick-start strategy is designed to generate cash flow and demonstrate the mill's capabilities before expanding to additional feed sources.

The company has signed a letter of intent with Trafigura Canada Limited, one of the world’s largest independent commodity trading and logistics groups, which is currently in due diligence. The agreement contemplates an off-take agreement for gold doré and the potential for future prepaid funding facilities as the operation grows. This partnership provides LaFleur with both a guaranteed buyer for its gold and access to working capital to support expansion.

The Beacon Gold Mill and the nearby Swanson Gold Deposit are situated in the Val d’Or community, a central hub for mining resources and staffing in the Abitibi region. The mill was operational in 2022 under previous ownership before a temporary halt. LaFleur has been refurbishing the mill to bring it back to production-ready status, capitalizing on existing infrastructure and permits.

Gold prices remain well above historical levels, even after retreating from record highs above $5,000 in January. This favorable pricing environment supports the economics of restarting the mill. The company's focus on near-term production aligns with market conditions that reward gold producers with strong margins.
