LaFleur Minerals Appoints Andrew Elinesky CEO as Trafigura Due Diligence Advances

LaFleur Minerals Inc. (CSE: LFLR) (OTCQB: LFLRF) (FSE: 3WK0) has announced the appointment of Andrew Elinesky as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Elinesky, who brings over two decades of senior executive and financial leadership experience, most recently served as President and CEO of Sabre Gold Mines Corp., a company acquired in February 2025. In his new role, he will oversee corporate strategy, capital markets, financing, and investor relations. Former CEO Paul Ténière will continue as President and a Director, focusing on technical and operational activities. This leadership change comes at a pivotal time as the company advances discussions with Trafigura Canada Limited regarding proposed prepayment and gold doré offtake arrangements.

LaFleur also reported that representatives from Trafigura and company management completed a two-day site visit to the Beacon Gold Mill and Swanson Gold Project on August 10-11. The visit included an inspection of the mill and process circuits, a review of recommissioning progress, and an inspection of the ongoing diamond drilling program at the Swanson Deposit. This due diligence is a critical step toward finalizing the proposed agreements, although the company cautions that there is no assurance definitive agreements will be reached or on the terms currently contemplated.

The potential offtake and prepayment arrangements with Trafigura, one of the world's leading commodity trading firms, underscore the strategic value of LaFleur's assets. The Beacon Gold Mill, capable of processing over 750 tonnes per day, is central to the company's plans to process mineralized material from the Swanson Gold Project and to offer custom milling services for other nearby projects. The Swanson Gold Project, located in the Abitibi Gold Belt near Val-d'Or, Québec, includes 481 claims and one mining lease covering 200.7 square kilometers. The project hosts several gold and critical metals prospects previously held by Monarch Mining, Abcourt Mines, and Globex Mining.

The company recently released a positive Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) for the Swanson Gold Project and the planned restart of the Beacon Gold Mill. The PEA is preliminary in nature and includes inferred mineral resources that are considered too speculative geologically to have economic considerations applied to them that would enable them to be categorized as mineral reserves. There is no certainty that the results of the PEA will be realized. Mineral resources that are not mineral reserves do not have demonstrated economic viability.

LaFleur has consolidated a large land package along a major structural break that hosts the Swanson, Bartec, and Jolin gold deposits, along with several other showings. The project is easily accessible by road, allowing direct access to several nearby gold mills, further enhancing its development potential. The company's mission is to advance mining projects with a focus on its PEA-stage Swanson Gold Project and the Beacon Gold Mill, which have significant potential to deliver long-term value.

The appointment of Elinesky and the progress in Trafigura's due diligence signal a strategic push to secure financing and offtake agreements that could de-risk the project and accelerate development. Elinesky's extensive experience in capital markets and corporate strategy will be instrumental in navigating these negotiations and steering the company toward production. The outcome of these discussions could position LaFleur as a key player in the gold sector, leveraging its mill and resource base to generate near-term cash flow.
