As communities across the Texas Hill Country face renewed devastation from July 2026 floods, LiftFund has launched the 2026 Texas Hill Country Flood Relief Program to provide critical financial support to small businesses and nonprofits still recovering from last year's disasters. The program offers grants of up to $10,000 for eligible organizations in 16 counties, including Bandera, Blanco, Burnet, Comal, Edwards, Gillespie, Hays, Kendall, Kerr, Kimble, Llano, Mason, Medina, Menard, Real, and Uvalde.
Many businesses were still rebuilding from previous floods when the latest storms struck, compounding financial setbacks. According to LiftFund, applicants must have been operating on or before July 1, 2025, and demonstrate negative economic impact from the July 2026 floods. Grant funds can be used for rebuilding and repair expenses, replacement of lost or damaged equipment, and general operating expenses.
“Our hearts are with the Texas small businesses that are facing yet another tragic disaster. When disasters strike, they need trusted partners who can respond in a matter of days to sustain the business and its employees,” said Amy Hereford, President and CEO of LiftFund. “Our team is prepared to help business owners stabilize, recover, and continue serving the communities that depend on them.”
Over the past year, LiftFund has deployed 525 grants and loans totaling more than $17 million for Hill Country small businesses. For over three decades, the nonprofit has supported entrepreneurs through hurricanes, wildfires, floods, and the COVID-19 pandemic, developing disaster recovery systems focused on speed, accountability, and equitable access to capital. “Every small business that reopens strengthens its community,” Hereford added. “When entrepreneurs can recover, employees return to work, families regain stability, and local economies begin moving forward again.”
LiftFund is collaborating with philanthropic organizations, corporate partners, and community leaders to expand recovery resources. Additional funding aims to increase access to affordable financing, grants, and business support services.
