MAX Power Mining Advances CEO Start Date Amid Natural Hydrogen Drilling Milestones

MAX Power Mining (CSE: MAXX) (OTC: MAXXF) (FRANKFURT: 89N) announced Friday that it has advanced the start date of incoming CEO and Director Ranjith Narayanasamy to Dec. 1, 2025, one week earlier than previously planned. The move comes as the company initiates targeted zone testing at its Lawson project, which hosts Canada’s first deep well drilled specifically for Natural Hydrogen. In addition, MAX Power is progressing a fully funded second well at Bracken within its expansive 1.3-million-acre Natural Hydrogen land package. Outgoing CEO Mansoor Jan will transition to lead the company’s U.S. subsidiary, Homeland Critical Minerals.

The acceleration of the CEO transition signals the company’s urgency to capitalize on its first-mover advantage in the natural hydrogen sector. Natural hydrogen, also known as white hydrogen, is generated naturally through geological processes and is considered a potentially low-carbon energy source. MAX Power has built a dominant district-scale land position with approximately 1.3 million acres (521,000 hectares) of permits covering prime exploration ground prospective for large volume accumulations of Natural Hydrogen. The company has identified high-priority initial drill target areas for commencement of drilling in Q4 2025.

The Lawson well represents a critical milestone for the industry. As the first deep well in Canada drilled specifically for natural hydrogen, its targeted zone testing could provide valuable data on the viability of natural hydrogen extraction in North America. Meanwhile, the fully funded second well at Bracken demonstrates the company’s commitment to advancing its portfolio rapidly. MAX Power’s land package, spanning 1.3 million acres, positions it as a key player in the race to commercialize natural hydrogen.

Beyond natural hydrogen, MAX Power holds a portfolio of properties in the United States and Canada focused on critical minerals. These include the Willcox Playa Lithium Project in southeast Arizona, where the company made a diamond drilling discovery in 2024. The company’s dual focus on natural hydrogen and critical minerals aligns with North America’s shift to decarbonization and the growing demand for domestic energy and mineral resources.

The leadership change also highlights strategic restructuring. Outgoing CEO Mansoor Jan will lead Homeland Critical Minerals, the company’s U.S. subsidiary, which may pursue critical mineral opportunities in the United States. Incoming CEO Ranjith Narayanasamy brings experience to guide MAX Power through its next phase of exploration and development.
