MelGeek Horus Brings Design-First Thinking to the World of Gaming Mice

MelGeek, known for its design-centric peripherals, has announced the launch of the Horus Lightweight Esports Gaming Mouse, marking its entry into the gaming mouse category. The company, which previously gained attention for the MOJO transparent mechanical keyboard and the Centauri flagship keyboard with an Apple Watch-like OLED display, is now applying its design-first approach to a mouse.

The Horus mouse weighs just 49 grams and features a 50:50 balance for precise control during gameplay. Its design incorporates subtle references to ancient Egyptian mythology, including nods to Horus and Bastet. The mouse also includes a pyramid-shaped 8K wireless receiver, turning a functional dongle into a design object. According to MelGeek, the mouse is intended to be both a performance tool and a piece of desktop art.

This launch follows MelGeek's pattern of blending aesthetics with functionality. The company's Centauri keyboard, released in late November 2025, integrated an OLED display using the same panel technology as the Apple Watch, capturing global attention. With the Horus, MelGeek aims to bring that same philosophy to the mouse market, emphasizing that peripherals can be personal and expressive without compromising on performance.
