MindMaze Therapeutics (SIX: MMTX), a global leader in scalable precision neurotherapeutics, has announced new real-world evidence from a multi-site program with Vibra Healthcare, demonstrating that home-based rehabilitation using MindMotion significantly increases therapy dose and improves functional outcomes. The findings, presented at the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine (ACRM) in Washington, DC, highlight the potential of home-based neurorehabilitation to address the gap in care after patients leave the clinic. The company's MMTX shares are listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange.
The retrospective quality improvement program evaluated 177 rehabilitation episodes involving 172 adults with neurological conditions, primarily stroke, across four Vibra Healthcare outpatient sites. Participants followed an eight-week home-training program using MindMotion GO, with an optional four-week extension and periodic therapist supervision. Results showed that patients completed an average of 174 minutes of active training per week, with 84.4% delivered asynchronously, without direct therapist supervision. The additional home training increased total motor-training dose by a median factor of 3.0 compared with usual outpatient therapy alone, based on published assumptions for active practice during usual care.
Feasibility and engagement were high: 92.7% successfully completed home setup, and 80.2% achieved the predefined minimum training exposure. Among surveyed participants, 83.8% of satisfaction ratings were positive. Statistically significant pre–post improvements were observed in independence (Barthel Index: +10.4 points), balance (Berg Balance Scale: +10.5 points), cognition (SLUMS: +3.4 points), and mobility (Timed Up and Go: −8.8 seconds) among participants with available paired assessments. These findings build on previously reported inpatient results with Vibra Healthcare and support MindMaze Therapeutics' strategy to extend high-dose, high-intensity neurorehabilitation into patients' homes. The company Recently announced the upcoming launch of MindMotion Lite, a tablet-based solution expected by year-end 2026. MindMotion Lite is designed to deliver the full range of MindMotion GO neurotherapeutic activities with substantially reduced hardware requirements, simplifying home deployment and supporting broader adoption by healthcare providers.
Zach Henderson, CEO of MindMaze Therapeutics, commented, "Earlier this year, we showed that MindMaze's high-dose, high-intensity therapy, integrated into inpatient rehabilitation, delivers superior functional outcomes in a resource-efficient way. Now, we are demonstrating that this value can extend into the home to address a well-recognized gap in care once patients leave the clinic, in line with the 2026 AHA/ASA Guideline for Adult Stroke Rehabilitation and Recovery. These results, combined with our upcoming MindMotion Lite tablet-based solution, will help make high-quality neurotherapeutics more accessible. Together, these milestones bring us closer to our mission of making neurotherapeutics available at scale."
The implications of this announcement are significant for the neurorehabilitation field. By demonstrating that high-dose therapy can be effectively delivered at home with minimal supervision, MindMaze Therapeutics offers a scalable solution to the systemic shortage of specialized clinicians. This approach not only improves patient outcomes but also reduces the burden on healthcare systems by enabling more efficient use of resources. As the population ages and the incidence of stroke and other neurological disorders rises, home-based therapies like MindMotion could become essential in meeting the growing demand for rehabilitation services.
