Monkee's of Fair Oaks Ranch will hold its grand opening at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at the Lemon Creek Ranch development, offering a new shopping destination for women in Fair Oaks Ranch and Boerne. Owner Kelli Hull, frustrated by the 45-minute drive to San Antonio for contemporary designer clothing, has transformed a concrete shell into a 1,200-square-foot boutique stocked with national brands.
The grand opening kicks off with a Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting and confetti pop at 9:30 a.m., followed by the doors opening to the public at 10 a.m. Shoppers can browse an assortment featuring names like Paige denim, FRAME, Milly, Shoshanna, Marie Oliver, and Aviator Nation. The first 100 purchases on opening day receive a special gift, and throughout the weekend (Thursday-Saturday), guests can enjoy champagne, light bites, and giveaways from local partners.
Hull, a veteran, emphasized the store's commitment to customer service and community. "People are a little bit frustrated with a lack of customer service," she said. "We want every single person who comes in to feel a very elevated, experiential shopping experience." The boutique offers personal styling, private after-hours events, and Sunday appointments. Hull also noted, "We're one of the few veteran-owned and operated Monkee's in the country. Supporting the military community is something you'll continue to see us do."
The location in Lemon Creek Ranch was chosen for its accessibility and growth potential. "You can drive right up to the store, park and walk in," Hull said, highlighting the direct access off I-10 and proximity to H-E-B. Looking ahead, the boutique will introduce new brands in January 2027, including Tecovas, Hunter Bell, AGL, and Sunshine Tienda. Several trunk shows are planned for the grand opening weekend.
