Nanox Imaging Ltd. (NASDAQ: NNOX) has signed a distribution agreement with Costa Rica-based medical equipment distributor SOLME RC, S.A. to market and support the Nanox.ARC, a multi-source digital tomosynthesis system designed to expand access to 3D medical imaging. The agreement grants SOLME responsibility for marketing, distribution, installation, training, and ongoing technical support in Costa Rica. SOLME is a registered supplier to the Caja Costarricense de Seguro Social (CCSS), the country's principal purchaser and provider of hospital services. Commercialization will follow applicable regulatory registration, including an initial six-month proof-of-concept device registration period before full registration.
This deal marks Nanox's third Latin American market this year, following entry into Argentina and Peru. The expansion into Costa Rica signals the company's growing momentum in a region where access to advanced medical imaging is often limited. By partnering with a local distributor that already supplies the CCSS, Nanox gains a strategic foothold in a market where the public health system is the primary buyer. The agreement could accelerate adoption of the Nanox.ARC among Costa Rican healthcare providers, potentially improving early detection and clinical efficiency.
Nanox aims to drive the world's transition to preventive health care by delivering an integrated, end-to-end medical imaging and healthcare services platform. The company combines affordable imaging hardware, advanced AI-based solutions, cloud-based software, access to remote radiology, health IT solutions, and a marketplace to enable earlier detection, improved clinical efficiency, and broader access to care. Its vision is to expand the reach of medical imaging both within and beyond traditional hospital settings by providing a seamless solution from scan to interpretation and beyond.
The Nanox ecosystem includes the Nanox.ARC, a cost-effective, 3D multi-source digital tomosynthesis imaging system designed for ease of use and scalability; Nanox.AI, a suite of AI-based algorithms that augment the interpretation of routine CT imaging to identify early signs often associated with chronic disease; Nanox.CLOUD, a cloud-based platform for secure data management, storage, and advanced imaging analytics; Nanox.MARKETPLACE and USARAD Holdings, which provide access to remote radiology and cardiology experts and comprehensive teleradiology services; and Nanox Health IT, which combines deep healthcare IT expertise with leading technology partners to deliver RIS, PACS, AI, dictation, and secure infrastructure solutions that streamline workflows and support safer, more efficient care delivery.
By integrating imaging technology, AI, cloud infrastructure, clinical expertise, a marketplace, and health information technology, Nanox seeks to lower barriers to adoption, improve utilization, and advance preventive care worldwide. The Costa Rica agreement is a step toward that goal, demonstrating the company's ability to secure partnerships in new markets and adapt to local regulatory and commercial environments. For investors, the deal highlights Nanox's expanding footprint in Latin America and its potential to capture share in underserved regions. For the full press release, visit https://ibn.fm/C77lJ.
