Nicola Mining Advances Merritt Mill Processing, Targets Q4 Revenue

Nicola Mining Inc. (NASDAQ: NICM) (TSX.V: NIM) (FSE: HLIA) has provided an operational update on its Merritt Mill and precious metals projects, marking progress toward anticipated fourth-quarter revenue. The company reported that it completed processing of Red Eye Resources stockpiles in September, with concentrate assay results pending. This development is significant as it positions Nicola to recognize revenue in the fourth quarter of 2026, a key milestone for the junior mining company.

In addition, Nicola has initiated arrangements to transport and process approximately 1,300 tonnes of mineralized material from its Dominion Gold Project. During mine development, additional gold- and silver-bearing veins were identified, which could enhance the project's economic potential. The Merritt Mill, which is fully permitted and 100% owned by Nicola, can process both gold and silver mill feed via gravity and flotation processes. This flexibility allows the company to handle diverse sources of material, strengthening its role as a regional processing hub.

CEO Peter Espig stated that the company expects concentrate sales and additional processing activity in the fourth quarter to support its transition toward commercial results and establish a stronger operating foundation for 2027. This outlook underscores the company's strategy to leverage its milling infrastructure to generate near-term cash flow while advancing its own projects.

Nicola's involvement with Blue Lagoon Resources is also noteworthy. Blue Lagoon continues to advance mine development and production expansion following a $10 million financing commitment from Nicola and Ocean Partners UK Limited. This partnership demonstrates Nicola's ability to deploy capital strategically and support other high-grade gold projects, potentially yielding additional processing opportunities for its mill.

The company's asset base includes the New Craigmont Project, a high-grade copper property covering 10,913 hectares adjacent to Highland Valley Copper, Canada's largest copper mine, and the Treasure Mountain Property, which spans over 2,200 hectares. These holdings provide long-term optionality beyond the current processing activities.

For investors, the update signals tangible progress toward revenue generation, which is often a critical inflection point for junior miners. The pending assay results and the transport of Dominion material will be key catalysts to watch in the coming weeks. As Nicola works to transition toward commercial results, its fully permitted mill and strategic partnerships could position it for sustained growth.
