The movement draws its name from the Amazon #1 best-selling book Financial Trendsetters 4, which includes Reeves’ chapter “Pretty Broke: The Price Women Pay To Fit In.” The initiative seeks to spark conversations about the financial barriers many women face, including limited education about building wealth and protecting their futures.
Reeves, CEO of In Shape Financial Solutions, emphasizes that the movement is not about criticizing women’s spending choices but about empowering them to invest in their financial futures with the same confidence they apply to other areas of their lives. “You may not have written the first chapters of your financial story, but you have the power to write what comes next,” she said.
