Pribanic & Pribanic, a Pittsburgh law firm, is sponsoring two community events this month in the White Oak and Mon Valley area: the Fido Food Truck Fest on Sept. 12 in White Oak and the Yough n Roll Bike Ride and Party on the Trail on Sept. 19 in Elizabeth Township. The sponsorships underscore the firm's commitment to the communities it serves and support two organizations vital to the region.
The Fido Food Truck Fest is the fifth annual fundraiser for White Oak Animal Safe Haven, a no-kill animal shelter founded in 2003. The event runs from 2 to 6 p.m. at White Oak Volunteer Fire Department No. 1 and will include food trucks, basket raffles, a 50/50 raffle and mystery boxes. Last year's event raised about $10,000 to help fund the shelter's medical care, training, grooming and adoption programs. This funding is crucial for the shelter's operations, as it relies on donations to provide essential services for animals in need. The event not only raises money but also brings the community together for a common cause.
The Yough n Roll Bike Ride and Party on the Trail is organized by the Mon/Yough Trail Council, an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) organization with more than 500 members that maintains 15 miles of the Great Allegheny Passage. The 32nd annual event starts at Boston Riverfront Park and Rhino Memorial Field and offers 20- and 40-mile bike routes along the Youghiogheny River, along with a shorter Family Fun Ride for families. A community party follows the ride with music, local artists, historians, food, giveaways, children's games and representatives from area public safety agencies. Last year the trail hosted visitors from 48 states and 20 countries, and volunteers logged more than 5,000 hours maintaining the trail. Tim Banfield is the Mon/Yough Trail Council's contact for the event. More information is available at thebostontrail.com.
These events are significant for the local area. The Fido Food Truck Fest supports animal welfare, a cause that resonates with many residents and helps ensure the shelter can continue its mission. The Yough n Roll event promotes outdoor recreation and tourism, drawing visitors from across the country and around the world, which benefits the local economy. The Great Allegheny Passage is a major recreational asset, and the Mon/Yough Trail Council's maintenance efforts are essential to its upkeep. Pribanic & Pribanic's sponsorships demonstrate corporate citizenship and help sustain these community-building activities.
The firm's involvement in these events aligns with its long history of serving the Pittsburgh area. By supporting both animal welfare and outdoor recreation, Pribanic & Pribanic addresses diverse community needs and fosters a stronger, more connected region. The events also provide opportunities for residents to come together, enjoy shared experiences, and contribute to worthy causes. The firm's sponsorship ensures that these traditions continue and thrive.
In a time when community support is more important than ever, Pribanic & Pribanic's contributions make a tangible difference. The funds raised at the Fido Food Truck Fest will directly impact the shelter's ability to care for animals, while the Yough n Roll event will enhance the trail experience for thousands of users. These sponsorships reflect the firm's dedication to the well-being of the White Oak and Mon Valley communities and set an example for other local businesses.
