The tournament was highlighted by an extraordinary new scoring record. The Frisco Economic Development Corporation-sponsored team of Thai Thong, Jeremy Carroll, Chad Berens and Neil Nesladek finished with a remarkable 54, or 18 under par — the lowest score ever recorded in the JASDFW tournament. Finishing in second place was the B12 Consulting team of Terry Woods, Jay Eubanks, William Johnson and Earl Carty, who posted an impressive 57, or 15 under par. Two teams tied for third place at 10 under par: The Original Pancake House DFW and Toyota Team 2.
Individual honors went to Neil Nesladek, winner of the Closest to the Pin competition, and Craig Fryer, who captured the Longest Drive title. One of the day's most anticipated competitions was the Hole-in-One Contest on Hole #17, where golfers had the opportunity to win a Toyota Tundra. Although no player drove away with the vehicle this year, the contest generated plenty of excitement — and memories of the tournament two years ago, when an SMBC participant successfully made the winning hole-in-one and claimed the vehicle.
Beyond the competition, the tournament provided an opportunity for JASDFW members, partners and supporters to strengthen relationships while supporting the organization's mission of fostering deeper connections between North Texas and Japan. The record-setting round underscores the growing competitiveness and engagement of the business community in JASDFW's events, signaling a strong and active network. Such record performances raise the bar for future tournaments and highlight the society's ability to attract top-tier participants.
JASDFW extends its sincere appreciation to the sponsors whose generous support made this year's tournament possible: Title Sponsor: Toyota; Tournament Lunch Sponsor: Frisco Economic Development Corporation; Breakfast & Putting Contest Sponsor: Irving Economic Development Partnership; Pin Flag Sponsor: ORIX Corporation USA; Contest Sponsors: City of Plano EDC and Toyota Tsusho America; Hole Sponsors: B12 Consulting, Barnes & Thornburg, MUFG, Panasonic and CG Infinity; Scorecard Sponsors: City of Carrollton and Artmac Soft; Pro Golfer Sponsor: AI Connex.
JASDFW also thanks every golfer who participated, along with the Golf Committee, staff members, volunteers and supporters whose hard work and enthusiasm helped make the tournament another memorable success. The annual tournament continues to serve as an important gathering for JASDFW's corporate and community network, combining friendly competition with meaningful opportunities to build relationships and support the organization's work throughout North Texas. The record-setting performance not only adds a new chapter to the tournament's history but also reinforces the role of such events in strengthening economic and cultural ties between North Texas and Japan.
