The Round Rock Chamber of Commerce held its 2026 State of the Chamber Power Lunch on Jan. 16 at Embassy Suites Round Rock, drawing over 230 attendees from across Central Texas. The event featured a live recording of the Rock Solid Round Rock podcast, hosted by Bryan Eisenberg of A Place At Home – North Austin, providing an authentic lens into the Chamber’s annual update and future direction.
Outgoing Board Chair Selicia Sanchez-Adame reflected on 2025 successes, including the Chamber’s 75th anniversary and progress toward its goal of 1,000 members. She emphasized the strength of the Ambassador program and referral network, noting that relationship-building remains central to business growth in Round Rock.
Leadership outlined economic development priorities, including a unique partnership between the City of Round Rock and the Chamber, a five-year strategic plan focused on innovation, and support for entrepreneurship through the gBeta accelerator and a forthcoming pre-accelerator program. The discussion also highlighted local education assets, such as four-year degree pathways at ACC and expanded opportunities at Texas State University beyond healthcare, reinforcing Round Rock’s commitment to talent and long-term growth.
President & CEO Jordan Robinson addressed advocacy efforts during the 89th Legislative Session, sharing insights from testifying at the Texas Capitol on sales tax policy and maintaining relationships with state and federal officials. The Chamber’s Post-Legislative event brought high-caliber speakers to help local businesses understand the policy landscape.
A major announcement was the launch of the Round Rock Chamber Foundation, with its Founders Wall Campaign raising $400,000. The Foundation will support business-to-business initiatives, including leadership development programs, the Young Professionals initiative, and Leadership Round Rock and Ascend, without competing with existing nonprofits. The Chamber also shared plans to return to the historic Griffith Building in downtown Round Rock.
Incoming Board Chair Deana Cavanaugh outlined priorities for the year ahead, focusing on member retention, deeper engagement, and continued investment in the Chamber Foundation. Her remarks emphasized building on recent momentum while ensuring the Chamber remains responsive and connected to the businesses it serves.
“I’m incredibly proud of the work our Chamber, board, volunteers and partners accomplished over the past year,” said Robinson. “The State of the Chamber gives us the opportunity to not only reflect on that progress, but to clearly share where we’re headed next — and how we will continue to strengthen our business community while creating new opportunities for Round Rock’s future.”
