SAF-HOLLAND Names Alexandre Charpiot as New President of EMEA Region

SAF-HOLLAND SE, a global leader in trailer and truck components, announced the appointment of Alexandre Charpiot as the new President of its Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region, effective September 1, 2026. He will succeed Christoph Gunter, who is departing the company for a leadership role outside the group.

Christoph Gunter, who served as President EMEA for nearly seven years, was instrumental in shaping the region's growth, including the successful integration of Haldex and the expansion into key markets. Alexander Geis, Chairman of the Management Board and CEO of SAF-HOLLAND SE, expressed gratitude for Gunter's contributions and wished him well in his future endeavors.

Alexandre Charpiot brings extensive experience to the role, having joined SAF-HOLLAND in 2009 and held various leadership positions in original equipment (OE) and aftermarket businesses. He has managed logistics, purchasing, and product management, and since 2022, as Vice President Sales OEM EMEA, he led sales activities, oversaw European subsidiaries, and played a key role in integrating Haldex, Tecma, and Assali Stefen. His deep industry knowledge and customer relationships position him to continue the region's development.

In his new capacity, Charpiot will align the EMEA region with the company's drive2030 strategy, focusing on strengthening market position, optimizing operational performance, and pursuing growth opportunities across the product portfolio. This appointment underscores SAF-HOLLAND's commitment to leadership continuity and strategic execution in its largest regional business.

SAF-HOLLAND, headquartered in Bessenbach, Germany, reported sales of approximately EUR 1.73 billion in 2025, with around 5,600 employees worldwide. The company supplies chassis-related assemblies for trailers, trucks, and buses under brands including SAF, Holland, Haldex, and others. It serves OEMs on six continents and maintains an extensive aftermarket distribution network. The company is listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange in the Prime Standard and included in the SDAX.
