Safe Pro Group Secures $1.3 Million U.S. Army Contract for AI Threat Detection on Autonomous Ground Vehicles

Safe Pro Group Inc. (NASDAQ: SPAI) announced it has received a $1.3 million U.S. Army subcontract from a leading defense prime contractor to integrate its proprietary AI-powered real-time threat detection technology into autonomous Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs). The project will incorporate Safe Pro's computer vision and machine learning pipeline onboard UGVs to detect explosive threats in real time while supporting on-the-move military operations.

The company's patented SPOTD (Safe Pro Object Threat Detection) technology is trained on one of the world's largest real-world drone imagery datasets and can identify more than 150 types of explosive threats and objects of interest, including landmines, unexploded ordnance and hostile drones. Safe Pro said its AI models are built on more than 2.8 million drone images and over 50,000 confirmed detections collected across more than 35,000 acres in Ukraine, providing enhanced situational awareness capabilities for military and security applications.

This contract underscores the growing importance of AI-driven autonomous systems in modern warfare, where rapid and accurate threat detection can significantly reduce risks to personnel and equipment. The integration of SPOTD into UGVs allows for continuous scanning and identification of hazards without human intervention, enabling faster decision-making and safer operations in contested environments.

Safe Pro's technology leverages a cloud-based ecosystem powered by Amazon Web Services, ensuring scalability and real-time data processing. The company has previously deployed its AI solutions for humanitarian demining and security applications, demonstrating versatility beyond military use. The U.S. Army contract validates the effectiveness of Safe Pro's approach and positions the company for further growth in the defense sector.
