SBC Medical Group Leverages OrangeTwist Investment for U.S. and Global Expansion

SBC Medical Group Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: SBC), a Japanese operator of aesthetic medical clinics and provider of consulting services, is making a strategic push into the U.S. market through its recent investment in OrangeTwist, a U.S.-based medspa chain. The partnership, announced late last month, gives SBC a foothold in the growing American medical aesthetics industry, which the company estimates will grow from $34 billion today to $48 billion by 2030. OrangeTwist, which operates 24 locations across six U.S. states, specializes in non-invasive treatments such as injectables, laser therapies, and body contouring, aligning with consumer demand for low-risk procedures with minimal downtime.

SBC Medical, which already manages over 258 affiliated clinics globally and handles more than six million patient visits annually, will collaborate with OrangeTwist on joint operations, leveraging synergies in procurement, clinical workflows, and real-time KPI tracking. The partnership also involves institutional shareholders Hildred Capital and Athyrium Capital. Stephen Rodgers, global head of planning and strategy at SBC Medical, told Benzinga in an interview that the company plans to pursue further strategic investments in the U.S., seeking local partnerships that align with its mission and can scale. “As part of SBC’s global expansion, we are working hard to find local partnerships rather than copying and pasting what we did in Japan,” Rodgers said in the Benzinga interview.

The U.S. expansion is driven by demographic trends: an aging population and a focus on healthspan. According to Gabelli Research, the global anti-aging market, valued at approximately $85 billion in 2025, is expected to surpass $120 billion by 2030, with North America accounting for about 30% of that market. SBC Medical is also eyeing growth in the longevity sector, offering services like AI-powered diagnostics and regenerative therapies. The company’s strategy extends beyond the U.S., with expansions in Japan and Southeast Asia, where non-invasive treatments are in high demand due to cultural preferences for natural-looking results and quick recovery times.

SBC Medical’s global expansion rests on three pillars: partnering with high-performing regional operators, deploying its expertise to drive efficiencies, and securing first-mover advantages. By standardizing services across markets, the company aims to ensure consistent quality and pricing. The OrangeTwist investment is a key step in building a global network, with SBC leveraging its proven business model to help local providers scale. For more information, visit SBC Medical’s website.
