SERI Launches eSummit360, Opens Registration for eSummit27 in Tempe

The electronics sustainability conference known as eSummit is no longer a once-a-year event. SERI, the global non-profit behind the R2 Standard and other responsible recycling initiatives, has launched eSummit360, a year-round program that combines virtual content with the annual in-person gathering. The move signals a shift in how the electronics value chain addresses sustainability challenges, offering continuous engagement rather than a single annual checkpoint.

Registration has opened for eSummit27, scheduled for March 8-10, 2027, at the Omni Tempe at ASU in Tempe, Arizona. The event will bring together leaders from across the electronics lifecycle to collaborate on real-world solutions. For those looking to attend, launch pricing of $799 is available through November 2, after which the rate rises to $1,299. Registration includes all sessions, meals, and receptions, making it a comprehensive opportunity for networking and learning.

The year-round format, eSummit360, is designed to keep stakeholders connected and working on challenges as active participants, not just an audience. This approach reflects a broader recognition that sustainability in electronics requires ongoing effort and collaboration. By blending virtual content with the in-person event, SERI aims to maintain momentum and foster continuous innovation.

SERI has also recognized several organizations as eSummit360 Champions: Blackbelt360, eBay, Lenovo, re:Cycle Reverse Logistics (an Amazon company), and Sims Lifecycle Services. These companies support the year-round programming, including the in-person eSummit, demonstrating their commitment to advancing sustainable practices in the electronics industry.

The implications of this announcement extend beyond a simple conference expansion. SERI's 10/35 vision—that by 2035, 10-year lifespans will be common among electronics and all materials will be reused at end-of-life—requires sustained effort from all sectors. eSummit360 provides a platform for that sustained effort, enabling stakeholders to share knowledge, develop solutions, and track progress throughout the year. This could accelerate the adoption of circular economy principles and drive meaningful change in how electronics are designed, used, and recycled.
