SMT Scharf AG, a global leader in bespoke transport solutions for underground mining, is advancing its Strategy 2026 by expanding into new sales regions and diversifying its product portfolio. The company has signed an exclusive cooperation agreement with the CFH Group, a provider of air technology and environmental solutions for mining, targeting the Kazakhstan and South Africa markets.
Under the agreement, CFH Group’s subsidiary, CFT Kazakhstan T.O.O., will serve as the exclusive dealer for all SMT Scharf products in Kazakhstan. Simultaneously, SMT Scharf Africa (Pty.) Ltd. will act as the exclusive dealer for CFH Group’s products in South Africa. This strategic move aims to establish a stronger local presence, integrate products across the Group, and leverage synergies to enhance operational efficiency.
The cooperation aligns with SMT Scharf’s Strategy 2026, which focuses on optimizing global supply chain efficiency, integrating locations, and diversifying into electromobility and intelligent transport solutions. The company is also developing light electric vehicles (LEVs) and battery-powered monorails to meet increasing demand for low-emission solutions in underground mining.
