SNAH Healthcare announced today the launch of a new partnership with the City of West Haven, Connecticut, to provide non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) and senior center shuttle services. The program, awarded through a competitive bidding process, aims to build a transportation model centered on trust, safety, and efficiency for government-funded services.
The partnership will provide daily shuttles to the West Haven Senior Center and designated grocery shopping locations, utilizing existing schedules for residents. SNAH Healthcare's approach emphasizes safety, integrity, transparency, and fraud prevention, which are critical components of public sector partnerships.
Every SNAH vehicle in the program will be equipped with front and back-facing cameras to create a visual record of each trip, enhancing passenger and driver safety. Real-time GPS tracking will allow the city to monitor service delivery, including route compliance and timeliness. The vehicles will also provide door-to-door assistance, with trained drivers helping seniors with mobility challenges from their homes to the shuttle and back.
Fraud prevention is a key feature of the program. SNAH's operational model provides full visibility of every trip, reducing the risk of fraudulent billing or 'ghost rides.' The company's technology allows municipal partners to monitor performance independently, ensuring accountability and cost savings.
'We acknowledge and understand that municipalities have a fiduciary obligation to their taxpayers,' said Paulina Wierzbicka, President of SNAH Healthcare. 'Our technology and processes are intended to enhance municipalities' control and verification processes.'
The launch in West Haven reflects SNAH's experience in managing publicly funded transportation and home-care programs. The company is pursuing additional opportunities nationwide, offering secure, transparent partnerships that prioritize community needs and protect taxpayer investments.
