Tina Jurgens Appointed New Chief Marketing and Sales Officer at Bastei Lubbe AG

Bastei Lubbe AG, a leading German publishing group listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, has announced the appointment of Tina Jurgens as its new Chief Marketing and Sales Officer. Jurgens will join the Executive Board on November 1, 2026, succeeding Sandra Dittert, who left the company in July 2026 after six successful years.

Jurgens brings extensive experience in digital publishing and media. She joins from ZEBRALUTION Group, a major digital distributor for book and audiobook publishers in Germany, where she served as Co-CEO since 2024. At ZEBRALUTION, she oversaw operations, digital publishing, podcasts, technology, finance, and HR. Her tenure there began in 2018 as Managing Director, where she founded zebra-audio.net (now ZEBRALUTION Podcast), and she was appointed Chief Operating Officer in 2022.

Prior to ZEBRALUTION, Jurgens held senior roles at prominent German media companies. After earning a degree in journalism and communication studies, she started her career in 2004 as a product manager at Suddeutsche Zeitung. She later worked at Axel Springer, Bayerischer Rundfunk, and BRmedia, specializing in audio content marketing and licensing, as well as developing digital business models.

Carsten Dentler, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Bastei Lubbe AG, expressed confidence in the appointment: “In Tina Jurgens, we are gaining a proven media expert who combines long-standing experience in content marketing with extensive digital expertise and an entrepreneurial drive to shape the future. She is equally familiar with the traditional book and media business and with digital business models, and is therefore ideally equipped to strategically drive forward the marketing of our content and brands.”

This move signals Bastei Lubbe’s commitment to strengthening its digital presence and content monetization strategies. The company, which owns over 14 imprints and generates annual revenues exceeding EUR 118 million, has been an innovation driver in the publishing industry. Jurgens’ appointment is expected to accelerate its digital transformation and community-driven business models.

Dentler also thanked Sandra Dittert for her contributions: “The Supervisory Board would like to express its sincere thanks to Sandra Dittert for her dedication and the consistently trusting working relationship. She has played a decisive role in shaping the publishing group’s positive development and has thus made a significant contribution to its profitable growth and portfolio expansion.”

Jurgens’ background in audio content and digital business models aligns with Bastei Lubbe’s focus on producing thousands of audio and eBooks. Her experience in marketing and sales will be crucial as the company seeks to expand its reach across digital channels. The appointment underscores the importance of digital expertise in the evolving publishing landscape.
